Quebec’s baseball bats and equipment company B45 is pleased to announce that it is renewing its partnership with the Quebec Amateur Baseball Federation and the Académie Baseball Canada (ABC). It will also be a partner in the Cuban Junior National Team's tour of the Quebec Junior Elite Baseball League (LBJEQ) markets.
B45 will provide its top quality yellow birch baseball bats to the best Cuban prospects during their tour of the 13 LBJEQ teams. These matchups will help to prepare the squad for the 18U Baseball World Cup, which will be held in September in Thunder Bay, Ontario. A B45 Player of the Game Award for each team will also be presented at all games.
"We are proud to be able to contribute to this major event that will bring unprecedented visibility to the players of the LBJEQ. By providing our bats to the Cuban team, we are also reinforcing the ties already in place between our baseball structure and Cuban baseball," said Éric Gagné, B45’s Chairman of the Board, congratulating the efforts accomplished by Michel Laplante (Quebec Capitales), Maxime Lamarche (Baseball Quebec) and Rodger Brulotte (LBJEQ), who worked hard to make this project happen.
As the official baseball bat of Baseball Québec, B45 will once again be the preferred tool for its excellence program, the Académie Baseball Canada. This program led by Robert Fatal underwent a complete metamorphosis during the last year and now promote Quebec’s finest baseball talent throughout North America.
"The great variety of models offered by B45 is a perfect match for the different types of hitters that we find on our ABC teams. The service offered by B45 is an important factor for a program like us, as is the availability of the company to advise us," explains the head of the program.
Involvement in Québec
The renewal of the partnership demonstrates B45's desire to contribute to the growth of Quebec baseball. The Quebec City-based company also supports the careers of young Quebec prospects such as Jesen Dygestile-Therrien, Abraham Toro and Louis-Philippe Pelletier.
"It is once again a pleasure for us to be associated with a Quebec jewel. In addition to being a very high quality product, it is a product made from A to Z in our province and we are proud to be a privileged actor of their growth again this year," says the general manager of Baseball Québec Maxime Lamarche.
In addition to his partnership with Baseball Québec, B45 will also be back as a presenting partner of the Claude-Raymond Classic, an event bringing together the 90 best bantam-aged players from the Province of Quebec. The tournament, which will take place July 13-16 at the Richard-Lafontaine Stadium in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, will also include three teams from Ontario and one team from Nova Scotia.
B45 is also back as the official bat of the Quebec Major Baseball League, the top amateur league in the province, and the Quebec Junior Elite Baseball League.
